A Quiet New Year

Since it was New Year’s Day,

I came to visit the Dragon God.

There were many things I could have asked for.

Work.

The future.

Whether things would turn out well or not.

But today,

I chose to share only my gratitude.

The forest was quiet.

The air was cold.

Time felt like it was moving a little more slowly.

I still don’t know what this year will bring.
