Pausing for a Moment After Ryujin’s Message

I remembered Ryujin’s message

and walked down near the water.

I was not looking for anything in particular,

but I felt like seeing a little outside air.

By the lakeside,

a pleasant spring wind was blowing,

and that was reason enough

to stop for a moment.

Near my feet,

petals were moving as if the wind were carrying them away,

and I watched where they were going

for a little while.

A place by the lake

may look still,

but not everything there is standing still.

I only stopped for a short while, probably,

but during that small pause,

I felt like I could see a few things

that I had missed while walking.
